The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will create an online national platform where every Dominican can:
- Vote on major national issues, policies, and proposals.
- Propose new laws or ideas if enough citizens support them.
- Discuss solutions and shape the direction of the country.
Here’s what Direct Democracy Looks Like In Practice.
- 6 Month Nationwide Referendum Voting Cycle – Every 6 months, the people of Dominica will vote directly on key national issues, policies, or proposals, not just on politicians.
- Mandatory Public Referendums – Big decisions like constitutional changes, large development projects, major international deals, or significant government spending cannot happen without a national vote from the people.
- Citizen Led Proposals – If enough citizens support a proposal, the NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will bring it to a national vote. Your ideas will never be ignored.
- Budget Oversight by the People – The national budget and all major spending plans must be approved by the people. You will finally have control over how your hard earned tax dollars are used.
- Constitutional Protection of Direct Democracy – Once Direct Democracy is in place, no politician will be able to take it away. It will become a permanent right of the people, protected by the Constitution.
