“Speaker of the House [Joseph Isaac] urges the youth of Dominica to return and help rebuild the nation.”
Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration have been lying to Dominica for years. They claim the country offers endless opportunities for our young people, yet the youth are still leaving, heading to faraway lands with no intention of returning. And why? Because there are
- NO jobs.
- NO fair wages.
- NO future worth staying for.
Now, Roosevelt Skerrit’s own party, Speaker of the House, a former member of the United Workers Party, stood in public, quoting Bob Marley and telling our youth to return, saying Dominica offers “numerous opportunities” and even comparing their future here to making baskets. Baskets? That’s Joseph Isaac’s grand vision that he and his Dominica Labour Party have for young Dominicans.
This is exactly what’s sickening – Lots of Talk, Talk, Talk, and No solutions, No substance, No plan, just like NO SHAME Fontaine. Makes lots of noise, quotes bullshit slogans, throws around fancy words, but their lips are moving, so you know they’re lying!
And the local media? They knew the truth long before Joseph Isaac made his statement, yet they stayed silent. Only now, because it was said publicly, do they now feel forced to act, to report, to comment. And even then, it’s nothing but a glossed-over story, skimming the surface, avoiding the hard truths. They refuse to get to the meat and potatoes of the statement, the real issues behind the words.
Their silence speaks louder than their coverage. Ignoring the substance while pretending to report is a betrayal of the public trust.

The youth are leaving. Roosevelt Skerrit is lying. The Speaker, Joseph Isaac, is offering nothing but baskets. And the local media is complicit.
Dominica deserves real leadership, real opportunities, and real solutions, not empty speeches, not false promises, not noise that fills the air while the future walks away.
