Moun Sèwyé – Violence Is Never The Answer.

Week after week, they sit around, go online, complain endlessly about every issue under the sun, and they always fail to present even a single workable policy.

Their therapy sessions have become predictable cycles of blame, frustration and confusion. Instead of leadership, they offer emotional outbursts and personal debates. Instead of a strategy, they offer wishful thinking. And instead of nation-building, they offer chaos disguised as independence.

They proudly promote the idea that an independent, controlled government is the solution to all of our national problems. Yet such a system has never existed anywhere in the world. There have been only 7 independent party-free world leaders, but never a national government fully controlled by independent candidates. That alone shows the level of fantasy and inexperience at play here. They continue to sell this dream as if it were a realistic model, even though not a single example of a Westminster system of government has ever experienced this in the history of civilization.

For the sake of argument, imagine they somehow 11 independent candidates won 11 seats and controlled Parliament. Who becomes Prime Minister? Are we to believe that all 11 independent individuals, each with their own personal beliefs and clashing ambitions, will voluntarily step aside and elect someone else?

And if by some miracle they choose one person to lead them all, then what do we have? A leader at the top, a group following that leader and a shared agenda. That is a political party by definition, the same system they spend every week attacking and insulting.

Their complete lack of understanding and unity is already evident. Their live streams are filled with debate, confusion, contradictions and open hostility. They interrupt each other, debate each other, challenge each other and embarrass each other publicly. If they cannot remain united for one hour online, how can they ever govern 21 constituencies, manage national budgets, negotiate international agreements and maintain stability in Parliament?

The truth is simple: putting this group, with this mindset, in charge of our country would be a disaster. It would create political instability, power struggles, internal coups, constant breakdowns in decision-making and endless leadership battles. No serious democracy can operate like that.

The most disturbing and upsetting moment came tonight, November 24, 2025, when Buju was asked about ways to stop government corruption. At 45 minutes and 30 seconds into the online stream, he responded: “The option is, to remove the government at all cost, by the ballot or otherwise. If the people of Dominica deem otherwise is the necessary way they want to go.”

That entire statement is not only irresponsible, but it is also dangerous. It opens the door to interpretations that have no place in a peaceful democratic society. Leaders have a duty to calm tensions, not inflame them. They have a duty to discourage violence, not hint at it. When a political party like Moun Sewye begins to imply that change can be achieved through methods outside the ballot box, it has crossed a line that no responsible movement should ever cross.

This type of language is how instability begins. It is how fear spreads. It is how people get hurt. Dominica has already experienced political tension in the past, and the last thing our country needs is a group casually playing with the idea of violence as if it is a joke or a tool they can pull out when they do not get their way. This is called sedition, and it is reckless and should concern every citizen and our government.

And then there is their behaviour in private interactions. We attempted to engage with them professionally. We proposed a meeting to discuss a possible alliance or at least explore common ground. All we asked was that they read our website beforehand, so they could understand our positions. Their response was shocking in its arrogance and laziness. Why would we read your website? And, no, we are not going to read it.

This is the mentality of people who want to run our government? People who refuse to read basic information? People who refuse to prepare, refuse to educate themselves and refuse to show basic respect in political dialogue? If they cannot handle a simple request to read a few paragraphs, how will they handle negotiations with foreign governments, international investors, regional partners and global institutions? It is clear they have no idea what diplomacy is about and how it works.

We know there are indeed good people in this party, individuals who genuinely care about our country. But there are also others whose attitude, behaviour and ignorance are destroying whatever credibility the group once had.

Our message is simple. If you are part of this Moun Sèwyé party and after five years you are tired of seeing no progress, no unity, no leadership and no results, we more than welcome you, we invite you.

We bring real solutions, a serious plan, respect for every citizen and a commitment to building partnerships. We believe in education, preparation, professionalism and peaceful democratic change. That is the only way to replace a government and build a better future for our country.

Dominica does not need irresponsible rhetoric. It does not need reckless statements and certainly does not need implied violence. It needs leadership grounded in respect, discipline, strategy and a commitment to peace.

That is what we offer. And we hope that people will begin to understand how serious we are about change and that our priority is only to our country and our people first.
