From The Leader’s Office: Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Flattery

What I witnessed from the United Workers Party and Thomson Fontaine is not strategy, it is desperation and panic.

  • They did not suddenly discover the word “Prosperity” by coincidence.
  • They did not independently decide to place a heart in their party logo out of creativity or vision.
  • They did not randomly change their party font to something more relevant and new.

Since December 10, 2025, 11 days after the Dominica Reform Party changed our Facebook name to include the word “Prosperity” and started using a Purple Heart symbol and a very creative design for the party name. Suddenly, the United Workers Party and Thomson Fontaine saw how it looked and how it resonates, and they are scrambling to copy it. That is not timing, that is a reaction born of fear!

This matters because it exposes a truth about the United Workers Party that they would rather keep hidden: It says and shows they are watching us closely, and they are afraid of what they are seeing and our growing momentum.

When an established political party with decades of history begins borrowing words, symbols, aesthetics, and even adopting new fonts because of the influence of a new movement, it is a clear sign that they have run out of original ideas and are reacting out of fear!

Instead of offering fresh policies, real solutions, meaningful reforms, or a bold and original vision for Dominica, they are desperately scrambling to imitate what is already resonating with the people. That is not leadership. That is imitation born out of fear!

This desperate copying by the United Workers Party exposes just how shaken and fearful they truly are. Instead of building momentum through vision and leadership, they are clinging to ours, hoping to ride the wave we created.

Rather than listening to the people and offering real solutions, they are borrowing everything they can, words, symbols, and new fonts, hoping no one notices that beneath the surface, there is nothing new, nothing bold and nothing real.

Thomson Fontaine, the people of Dominica are not fooled. Your knock-off symbols and words are without substance, and they fool no one.

  • You cannot steal credibility.
  • You cannot copy authenticity.
  • You cannot replicate a movement built on real ideas, real courage and real reform.

The facts are clear: the United Workers Party does not understand that momentum cannot be manufactured, borrowed, or faked; it is earned through real ideas, real action, and real leadership.

And the reason they are reacting this way is that they see it clearly: the ground is shifting. The people are paying attention. The conversation is changing. And for the first time in a very long time, they are no longer controlling the narrative.

This is what desperation looks like when power begins to slip away: imitation instead of innovation, copying instead of courage, symbolism instead of solutions. This is not a coincidence or timing – this is a reaction born of fear!

There is no question that Dominica deserves better than recycled ideas, borrowed branding, and cosmetic changes designed merely to appear relevant. Dominica deserves leadership with vision, honesty and substance, not a party scrambling to mimic a movement and campaign they do not understand and cannot control.

The United Workers Party and Thomson Fontaine are showing Dominica exactly why they are not the right choice. They copy ideas instead of creating them, imitate symbols instead of leading with vision and react out of fear rather than plan for the future. Their approach ignores the voices of our people, offering recycled slogans and empty gestures while failing to deliver real solutions.

The Dominica Reform Party, on the other hand, is built on Direct Democracy; your voice matters, your ideas are heard, and your input shapes the decisions that affect our nation. We lead with original ideas, bold solutions and transparency, not borrowed words or superficial symbols.

When you choose the Dominica Reform Party, you are choosing a movement that respects our people, values your opinions and delivers meaningful change. You are choosing leadership that is courageous, innovative and accountable. The choice is clear, for real progress, real solutions and real democracy, the Dominica Reform Party is the right choice for Dominica.
