To Roosevelt Skerrit
We are certain that your “practical response,” your compassionate words, your calls for unity, and your prayers for God’s blessings and guidance will surely help the individuals and families who have lost everything they worked for.
I’m sure when they have no income, no stability, and no support, your thoughts and prayers will mean the world to them. That must be the bare minimum you feel obligated to offer.
The hypocrisy is staggering. How dare you come here preaching as though you care, while collecting five government salaries a month, living in extreme comfort, and prioritizing your own child’s advancement over the very children you claim to represent? For decades, the country and economy have deteriorated under your leadership, leaving people struggling and dependent and now you want to project compassion?
Go back to your castle on the hill. Do not pretend concern for the very people whose hardship has grown during your time in power.
Our people the ones who struggle, will take care of each other. Unlike you and your family, we understand community. We show up for one another. We support one another.
God knows who has truly stood with the people over the last two decades and who has not.
