So now let us all honest ourselves as a country to what is really happening here.
This was never about filling a country full of empty jobs. This is about artificially inflating our population with imported cheap unskilled foreign workers to mask decades of economic failure and mass emigration of Dominicans. When your own people are leaving in record numbers because they cannot find work, afford housing, or build a future, the fastest way to make the numbers look better is not reform, it is replacement.
Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration are attempting to manufacture the illusion of growth by importing cheap, unskilled foreign workers rather than creating conditions for Dominicans to stay and move back home with their families.
We already hear complaints everyday about foreign influence and control in key sectors of the economy. People openly talk about Chinese dominance in construction, contracts, and commerce. Now imagine this policy scaled up. Bring in 30,000 or 40,000 cheap, unskilled workers into a country of just over 60,000 people and ask yourself one simple question: where do Dominicans fit in?
This is not speculation. This is basic math and power dynamics in a small island state. You do not dilute a population this size without permanently altering its economic and social balance. Dominicans will not compete upward—they will be pushed out, forced to accept lower wages, worse conditions, or worse forced to leave altogether.
And that is why Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration refuse to talk about unemployment honestly. Because once you acknowledge that 15% of Dominicans cannot find work, the entire justification for importing cheap unskilled foreign labour collapses. Once you admit that the Dominican Republic at 4.9% unemployment is in far better economic shape than Dominica, the narrative flips completely.
You do not fix a broken house by inviting strangers to live in it while your own family sleeps outside. You fix the foundation. And Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration have no intention of doing that, because fixing it would require accountability, reform, and the end of the very system that keeps him in power and keeps him gaining wealth by stealing elections.
So yes – Roosevelt Skerrit is a proven liar. And the truth will end his story.
So in closing…
So, if you choose to ignore these facts and continue to support Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration’s failures, remember this: your selfish loyalty is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to punish every other Dominican. No human being with a conscience, with morals, with empathy, can read what’s happening and tell themselves there’s nothing to it.
If you want to act like the media outlets in Dominica – gawking at Roosevelt Skerrit like children staring at Santa Claus in a parade, dreaming of gifts and a better day – go ahead. But understand this: the universe does not forgive selfishness. It remembers. And when the day of reckoning comes, when the consequences of your blind loyalty hit your family, your friends, your children, you will have no one to blame but yourself.
You did not just refuse to see what was happening. You refused to stop it. You chose gifts over your country, loyalty over justice, comfort over conscience. There is no room in Dominica, or in life, for people who are weak enough to sell their integrity for handouts.
Openly admitting it only proves what a hollow, shameless person you are. There is no material thing in this world that could ever convince me to abandon my country, to cast a vote for a proven failure, just because he gives me something.
You are weak. You are cowardly. You are morally bankrupt. Voting is not a privilege to be exercised blindly. It is a responsibility. And casting your vote without conscience, without evidence, without reason, in blind loyalty, is a betrayal – not just of your country, but of yourself.
If you want to be remembered as someone who truly served Dominica, you vote with your mind, your conscience, and your courage – not with your pockets. Everything else is weakness. Everything else is shame. You are no better than the media outles that shoudl work for our people, instead of Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration. Who watch him try and steal and election and say nothing!
