From The Leader’s Office: Dominica High School Diploma (DHSD) And New Government University

Good early morning to all my fellow residents of Our Mother of Valleys and Volcanoes! You know what the best thing is about being the new voice on the block? It’s that I have the freedom to constantly think of new and creative ways to improve Dominica and enhance the quality of life for every one of us. Together, we can imagine a brighter future and take the steps to make it a reality.

I am not sitting around holding a rally on a Sunday, trying to guess what the election turnout might be. I am not running because I need a jobs. I am not running because I am alawyers who got booted from a former UWP party and now wants to pretend I understand struggle.

I am an everyday person, a Dominican, who sits back and thinks to myself, “Wouldn’t it be nice if Dominica had…” And honestly, that’s how I come up with some of my policies under the Path Forward. I think like a normal, everyday people do -because I have to.

Unlike the coward of Thomson Fontaine, the thief Roosevelt Skerrit, the elitist Bernard Hurtault, the under cover traitor Joshua Francis, I know how to relate to real people, because I am one of them. It is that simple.

Look at what they offer: nothing. Thomson Fontaine had the be-all-end-all 10-pillar plan that failed in South Sudan. Then, after Bangladesh rejected it, he repackaged it and tried to sell it to us. And since being called out. You do not even hear him talk about it anymore.

Meanwhile, I have 41 breakthrough, innovative, and revolutionary policies – with two more in the chamber coming soon. And I am not done, because Dominica does not need empty promises; it needs a revolution, not of violence or protest, but of technology, education, and opportunities for our children and adults alike.

This is why I am so excited about the Dominica Reform Party vision for education and our future. Imagine a Dominica where our young children finish high school at 16 and 17, fully equipped to enter university or the workforce without losing two long extra years.

Imagine a system where students can choose an academic or applied pathway, where schools prepare them for the real world, and where our colleges can finally focus on true post-secondary education instead of acting as a pre-paratory school for overseas universities.

And it does not stop there. Imagine a government-owned university here in Dominica, attracting the brightest minds from across our island and neighboring Caribbean nations. Students who would have left our shores now have the opportunity to stay, learn, and contribute.

Families benefit because they save money and time, while children benefit because they get a real chance to compete in the global market. Our population gains skilled labor and innovative thinkers, and our country grows stronger because we are investing in our people, not just following old systems that don’t work.

Over time, we will see an influx of universities and medical schools setting up programs here because they will recognize that Dominica is serious about its future. This will bring teachers, researchers, and professionals from abroad, creating opportunities, jobs, and a culture of innovation. Ross University ALL OVER AGAIN!!

And the best part? Those students and educators bring fresh ideas, new energy, and global connections – strengthening our country while giving our children a front-row seat to the future.

Whether foreign students stay or return home to serve their own countries, Dominica benefits from bright minds and ambitious talent pouring into our society.

People should be excited. This is bigger than politics. This is about our children, our families, and our country’s future. This is about creating a Dominica that is globally competitive, technologically advanced, and educationally world-class. The opportunities we are opening will change lives, build skills, and finally give our young children the tools they need to succeed, not just survive, but thrive.

The time for talk is over. The Dominica Reform Party has a plan, has solutions, and has your back. We are not just promising change – we ‘re bringing it. The revolution we are bringing is one of knowledge, innovation, opportunity, and hope. And if you want a Dominica where our children and our people have a real future, now is the time to get excited and get involved.
