The Path Forward: Dominica Reform Party – Accountability And Integrity.

In the NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP), our mission is simple but uncompromising: to serve the people of Dominica with honesty, humility, and unwavering integrity. Every candidate who runs under our banner, and every Member of Parliament elected with the support of our people, must hold themselves to the highest standards of public trust and service.

Let it be known across every village, town, and city, if any member of the NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) is ever found to be acting in a manner that contradicts the best interests of the party, our people, or the country, they will be immediately removed from the party’s ranks.

  • No excuses.
  • No negotiations.
  • No protection for betrayal.

We understand the laws of Dominica mean that we cannot force a Member of Parliament to resign from their seat. But what we can do, and what we will do, is make our voice heard loud and clear. The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will lead a sustained and relentless campaign to call on that individual to do the honourable thing: resign their seat and return the power to the people who entrusted them with it. This is not about punishment. This is about principle. If you break your people’s trust, you no longer have the right to represent them. Period!

In the NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP), we believe that leadership is a privilege, not a prize. An elected seat in Parliament is not a throne; it is a platform to serve our people. And if you use that platform to serve yourself, your friends, or special interests instead of our nation, you will be held accountable.

Our party will bring such matters to a full internal vote. If the majority of NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) members agree that a Member of Parliament has failed to uphold the values and obligations of their office, that will trigger an official call for resignation. We will take that message to Parliament, to the public, to the press, and every corner of this country until the message is clear: no one is above the people’s will. We will press for a new by-election to restore true representation to that seat.

All Dominica Reform Party candidates and elected officials are required to undergo Mandatory Ethics Training as part of their commitment to public service. This training ensures every representative fully understands their legal, moral, and civic responsibilities to the people of Dominica. It covers topics such as conflict of interest, transparency, anti-corruption, responsible governance, and accountability.

We believe that leadership begins with education, integrity, and self-discipline, and no one is exempt. Public trust is not assumed; it is earned and maintained through action.

This is how we build a new kind of politics in Dominica, one where elected officials are servants of the people, not rulers over them. One where accountability is not optional; it is demanded.

The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) was not created to play games with power. We were created to give our people back their voice, and we will never allow that voice to be silenced by corruption, arrogance, or betrayal.

This is how a real government should act, with transparency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the people of Dominica. Unfortunately, neither the Dominica Labour Party under Skerrit nor the United Workers’ Party led by Thomson Fontaine has demonstrated any real seriousness in tackling the corruption that continues to undermine our nation.

For years, Skerrit’s government has failed to root out corruption within its ranks or in government institutions. Instead of meaningful reforms, we have seen policies and actions that protect insiders and maintain the status quo, leaving the people frustrated and distrustful.

Similarly, the United Workers Party lead byThomson Fontaine at its helm, has still offered no clear plan or commitment to address these issues. Rather than presenting concrete solutions on how they will hold the government accountable in a meaningful way, the United Workers Party has remained silent and ineffective, giving no indication that they are serious about cleaning up corruption or reforming governance.

Neither party has shown the leadership or the willpower necessary to bring real change. Their lack of simple proposals and accountability measures makes it clear that neither party is ready to confront the challenges facing Dominica.

The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) is different. We are prepared to take the necessary steps to address corruption openly and honestly. We offer in Black and White, clear, practical solutions and a roadmap for restoring trust between government and citizens. We believe that true leadership means acting decisively and holding everyone accountable, regardless of party or position.

So let this stand as our promise to our people of Dominica: If you elect us, we will fight for you. If we fail you, we will own it. And if one of our own ever turns their back on you, we will stand up to them, even if they wear our colours. Because the people come first. Always!
