What absolutely blows my mind is that a large majority of you would rather reject real change simply because I refuse to identify myself right now – for serious and legitimate safety reasons that have been explained, and yet you continue to have no problem embracing failure, corruption, and national decay. You accept:
- A broken education system.
- Empty hospitals with no equipment, no doctors, no supplies.
- A housing crisis.
- A cost of living that is crushing people.
- Food shortages.
- No sustainable tourism.
- A dead economy.
- No jobs.
- No foreign investment.
- Poverty.
- Businesses are shutting down left and right.
- Alcoholism, drugs, and murders.
- Blatant corruption.
- Low wages.
- Government-paid boats were handed to selected individuals.
- Seniors are struggling to survive.
- A government that controls the media and pisses on your intelligence.
SHALL I GO ON?
And you still defend it – while deliberately ignoring what my party is offering. That’s not loyalty. That’s brain-dead obedience. Let’s also stop pretending about the so-called “alternatives.”
- I am not Thomson Fontaine.
- I am not Joshua Francis.
Thomson Fontaine is a failed economist whose ideas couldn’t save a lemonade stand, much less a country.
Joshua Francis is a lawyer and a failed UWP politician who secretly turned on his own party, stabbed it in the back, and now quietly props up the very system he once pretended to oppose.
Let me be clear: Thomson Fontaine and Joshua Francis do not have the heart, the passion, or the desire to fix this country. They can’t even find the energy to speak out against Roosevelt Skerrit and his government, and you think they’ll suddenly wake up one day ready to fight a corrupt system that pushes back? That’s your standard? That’s what you’re defending?
I am not here to lie to you, sugar-coat reality, or sell you nonsense so you can feel better about your own poor choices. Roosevelt Skerrit didn’t fool everyone – he carefully chose who to manipulate, and far too many of you volunteered. As a Dominican, I am embarrassed by the cowardice, excuses, and complete lack of action from our people. But listen carefully: If you like living like this, that’s fine.
- Stay in it.
- Defend it.
- Rot with it.
I will not apologize for my words. This is tough love, and Dominica has been babied straight into disaster. You chose Roosevelt Skerrit – directly or indirectly – now live with the consequences. No crying. No victim talk. No pretending you didn’t know better.
If you want change – embrace it. If you don’t, be quiet and stop whining online while defending the same system that’s strangling you. Put on your big-boy or big-girl pants. Grow up. And decide whether you actually want change or whether you’re addicted to excuses and suffering.
I’m done with the cry-cry nonsense. Someone had to say it – Because I have nothing, absolutely nothing to lose, because Roosevelt Skerrit made sure of that. They say Dominica is not a real place. I am here to say it is very real, and it has been reduced to unnecessary poverty.
The clock is ticking. Either we act, or we continue living in a country that is slowly being hollowed out. I will fight back. If you resist change and deliberately try to sabotage my government from within, you’re terminated and kicking rocks. No exceptions. Either embrace this new era of politics, or get the hell out of the way. Someone who actually wants change will take your place.
- No bullshit.
- No excuses.
- No nonsense government.
My campaign is simple. It is based on real talk, not on what you want to hear. If what I say offends you, look in the mirror and ask yourself why. This is a real campaign, with real words, real solutions, and simple common sense that everyone can understand. If you have common sense, join the team, because that is exactly what Dominica needs. This is your country, start acting like it!
