Good evening, everyone. I had a really tough and emotional day. A lot is going on. I was sitting here quietly, trying to escape the weight of the day. And in that stillness, I found myself reflecting on how often I try to encourage others to stay positive during difficult times. And it struck me that sometimes, when we speak hope into others, it is because we need to hear it ourselves.
So tonight, I decided to share this. This is my belief that bringing hope to others brings hope back to you. As I type the next set of words, I will read them as if they were written by a stranger speaking directly to me.
To My Dominica Friend(s)…
I know the times are hard. I know many of you are tired, frustrated, and carrying burdens that you should never have had to carry to start with.
I know there are nights when the future feels uncertain and mornings when hope feels distant. But hear me clearly tonight: do not lose faith in yourself. You are stronger than you think, even on days when it does not feel that way.
We have all faced storms before. Life has tested us with hardship, loss, and moments of doubt. But our strength has always come from our resilience, our courage, and the love and support we give to one another.
There will be challenges ahead. Life is never easy, and truth is often uncomfortable. But we will face every obstacle together – with honesty, with patience, and with care. We do not have to carry our burdens alone. We can lean on one another.
I have difficult days too. I feel the weight of the world at times, just like you. What keeps me going is the belief that no one has to face life’s challenges in silence. That hope, even a small glimmer, can light the darkest of nights.
So when the road feels heavy, remember who you are. Remember that even in your hardest moments, you are not alone. Remember that better days are ahead, and that your courage, your love, and your resilience matter.
Hold on. Stay hopeful. Keep moving forward – one step at a time.
Goodnight, everyone. I will see you tomorrow for my daily take on things.
