UTC Global: Financial Exploitation Disguised As Opportunity In Dominica.

Dominica is being sold a lie. UTC Global’s expansion into our island is being painted as a gateway to prosperity, inclusion, and opportunity for ordinary Dominicans. But scratch beneath the surface, and it is nothing more than a sophisticated pipeline for wealth extraction, cleverly disguised as economic development. The money of hardworking Dominicans, savings painstakingly accumulated over years will being funneled into foreign-controlled markets where the real profits flow straight to regional fund managers in Trinidad and other external elites. Meanwhile, the average Dominican is left exposed to risk, volatility, and potential loss, with no guarantee of the promised returns.

This is not investment. This is modern financial colonialism. It is a scheme that protects the interests of a few while putting the many at unnecessary risk, like Crypto Currency. Dominica does not need another external fund to play games with our people’s money. What we need are real, locally controlled investments in housing, agriculture, small businesses, and infrastructure that create jobs, stimulate our economy, and keep wealth circulating within our communities.

Somewhere down the line, this government and Skerrit must be held accountable. By allowing UTC Global and similar schemes to operate without transparent oversight or robust safeguards for ordinary citizens, this administration is complicit in putting the financial security of Dominicans in jeopardy. Fontaine and Skerrit may turn a blind eye, but the NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) is always watching out for every Dominican, no matter what color shirt you choose to wear. We are tired of outsiders trying to exploit our country and take our hard-earned money out of Dominica for the benefit of distant elites.

Dominicans are being sold a story of opportunity. UTC Global promises financial inclusion, prosperity, and growth, but the reality is far more dangerous for the average citizen. This is not an investment designed to empower Dominicans; it is a scheme that funnels our hard-earned money into foreign-controlled markets, where the real profits flow to fund managers and elites outside our island.

The risk is real. Ordinary people are being asked to gamble their entire savings on distant markets, with no guarantee of return. Meanwhile, Trinidad-based managers continue to collect their fees from your money, whether the market rises or falls. Wealth leaves our shores, while the people who can least afford it shoulder the risk. This is modern financial colonialism, disguised as opportunity.

Based on the information available, UTC Global, particularly the investment fund version, is highly risky for ordinary Dominicans, and caution is not just advised; it is essential. Despite being licensed in the Eastern Caribbean, the reality is that small investors money is being funnelled into international markets, exposing ordinary Dominicans to all the risks while fund managers continue to collect fees. Oversight is limited, and if things go wrong, legal recourse is slow, complicated, and may be ineffective.

Most of the profits from this scheme will leave Dominica entirely, flowing to Trinidad-based managers and other external investors. This is not wealth creation in our country; it is wealth extraction, draining our economy while promising opportunity. Furthermore, this schemes promotes returns aggressively but fail to provide clear, independent verification of their performance. Marketing materials can be misleading, and many investors are encouraged to put their money in without fully understanding the risks involved.

Past patterns in the region make the danger even more apparent. Similar funds have repeatedly left small investors exposed while elites reap the benefits. Without strict regulation and strong local safeguards, there is no reason to believe that ordinary Dominicans are protected. Adding to the concern, Skerrit and his government are allowing this scheme to operate, raising serious questions about oversight, transparency, and whether such investments truly align with national interests. One must also ask: is there any personal financial gain for the government in allowing this to happen in our country? Dominicans deserve answers and protection before our hard-earned money is placed at risk for someone else’s profit.

The bottom line is clear: Dominicans should not blindly trust this government or UTC Global with their life savings. Extreme caution is required and a must. Investors must demand audited financial statements, understand exit conditions, and seriously consider whether their money would be better invested in local, community-controlled projects that directly benefit Dominicans. This is a matter of protecting our economy, our people, our future and your saving.

If you do not fully understand how UTC Global works, walk away. If you have any doubts or bad vibes about investing, walk away. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise. Remember, the people promoting this scheme have a financial interest in every dollar you invest, whether you win or lose. Your savings are their profit, not yours. This is not about helping Dominicans build wealth; it is about lining the pockets of outsiders in Trinidad, while ordinary citizens in Dominica shoulder all the risk.

As our grandpa used to say, “If it is too good to be true, do not trust it.” UTC Global’s promises may sound attractive, but they are empty promises. Protect yourself. Protect your community. Protect Dominica.

Dominicans must rise and say “No more!” And Boycott This Scheme. Force UTC Global back to Trinidad. Dominica is not a playground for profiteers or financial opportunists trying to scam our people so the elites can benefit while we lose everything we have worked for. The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) is committed to protecting our people, our economy, and our future. We will ensure that investments in Dominica stay in Dominica, building wealth for our people, not for outsiders

Protect yourself. Protect your community. Protect Dominica.
