The Path Forward: Love, Care, And A Second Chance.

The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will launch a Pet Population Control Program aimed at reducing the growing stray dog population in our communities. As part of this initiative, male dogs will be neutered free of charge to humanely manage overpopulation and prevent future problems.

In addition, the NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will run awareness programs to educate families on responsible pet ownership, emphasizing the importance of treating pets as valued members of the family while still maintaining the protection and security they provide.

The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will also rescue stray animals from the streets and make every effort to find them safe, loving homes, especially in the countryside where they can live freely and safely. Where rehoming is not possible, we will work with pet sanctuaries to give these animals a second chance at life. Only as a last resort, and in cases where the animal’s welfare or public safety is at serious risk, would humane euthanasia be considered.

The NEW Dominica Reform Party (DRP) will help keep families and their pets together, we will also introduce a low-cost microchipping program. This will make it easier to track and reunite lost pets with their families, ensuring fewer animals end up abandoned or in shelters.

This program is designed to create safer communities, healthier pets, and a more balanced environment for everyone.
