Statement On The Recent Attacks Against Josephine Gabriel & Company Limited.

It is beyond ridiculous, laughable that Dominica Labour Party Minister Vince Henderson suddenly has serious concerns about the safety of Trois Pitons Water, a product Dominicans have trusted since 1943.

Nearly 80 years without issue, yet the moment the government sets its sights on acquiring the old Dominica Brewery & Beverages Limited bottling plant in Loubiere which has sat abandoned since Hurricane Maria suddenly, there’s a problem? Spare us the theatrics, Minister.

This is nothing more than a calculated smear campaign designed by Skerrit and his governemmtn of thieves to destroy the reputation of a respected, Dominican-owned company so the Dominica Labour Party’s insiders can profit from their new bottled water venture. It is as transparent as it is shameful.

To be clear:

  • Josephine Gabriel & Co. Ltd. has been serving Dominicans for generations, providing jobs to our people and maintaining one of the most trusted brands on the island.
  • Not once in all these decades has the safety of their water been questioned, until now, when it conveniently benefits the DLP’s latest business scheme.
  • Vince Henderson and his crew of political opportunists are weaponizing misinformation to clear the field for their own investments, using Parliament as their personal Public Relations machine.

Anyone with half a brain can see exactly what is going on here. This is the same tired Dominica Labour Party playbook:

  1. Discredit existing businesses.
  2. Sow public doubt.
  3. Step in with a “solution” — conveniently, their own water botle company.
  4. Profit while Dominicans lose.

This is not about water safety. It is about power, greed, and self-enrichment. It is about a government willing to sabotage Dominican businesses, threaten local jobs, and drag trusted names through the mud, all so a handful of politicians and their cronies can line their pockets.

Dominicans are not stupid. We see you, Vince Henderson. We see you, Skerrit. And we see this government for exactly what it is: a cabal of profiteers pretending to act in the public’s best interest while bleeding the country dry.

Josephine Gabriel & Co. Ltd. has stood the test of time. It has served this nation honourably for over eight decades. Meanwhile, this government can not even manage its own affairs without scandal and backroom deals.

If the Dominica Labour Party thinks it can destroy local businesses and manipulate the people without consequence, they are in for a rude awakening. Dominicans deserve better than a government that weaponizes lies for personal gain.

We will not be silent while you destroy livelihoods, tarnish reputations, and turn this country into your personal ATM. Enough is enough.

Let us also talk about fake ‘Dr.” Vince Henderson consistently misleads and manipulates the public by using the title “Dr.” to create the false impression that he possesses medical, scientific, or environmental expertise. In reality, he has no qualifications in water safety, microbiology, environmental science, or public health. He uses this misleading title to make people believe he is smarter than the average citizen, positioning himself as an authority figure while peddling unfounded claims about Dominica’s water supply, including bottled water from Josephine Gabriel & Co. Ltd.

Dominica Labour Party member Vince Henderson plays the public for fools, relying on the intimidation factor of his “Dr.” title to suppress questions and criticism. His statements about water safety are entirely baseless, backed by no independent testing or certified laboratory data. Instead of protecting public health, he uses the guise of authority to profit or protect corporate interests, giving false assurances that put citizens at risk.

By presenting himself as an expert he is not, Dominica Labour Party member Vince Henderson deliberately misrepresents facts to manipulate perception. His misuse of the “Dr.” title is not merely symbolic, it is a strategic tool he wields to lie convincingly and profit from deception, making the public trust statements that are scientifically unverifiable. Citizens relying on his guidance are being exposed to dangerous misinformation, and his actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for public safety and transparency.

Dominicans deserve truth, transparency, and evidence-based assurances, not political gamesmanship. Vince Henderson’s behavior shows he is willing to exploit public trust, mislead citizens, and use a false image of intelligence to serve his own or corporate agendas, making him wholly unfit to speak on matters of water safety or public health.

Galloping Fontaine’s inaction on this issue is nothing short of disgraceful. He has never once expressed an opinion on the Dominica Labour Party or called out their behaviour, not because he lacks awareness, but because he is complacent. His silence is not a neutral stance, it is a deliberate choice to remain detached, to avoid conflict, and to protect his own convenience rather than confront wrongdoing. By refusing to take a stand, Fontaine abandons any claim to leadership or integrity, leaving others to face the consequences of decisions and actions he should have addressed.

Fontaine’s ongoing pattern of inaction exposes his true priorities: he is concerned only with himself. He calculates that by keeping his mouth shut, he can “fly under the radar,” avoid accountability, and maintain a veneer of respectability while others bear the weight of responsibility. This self-serving approach shows that he has no real interest in the business, its employees, or the community. His complacency in the face of the Dominica Labour Party’s actions and his unwillingness to speak out make him complicit in their behaviour by default.

Ultimately, Fontaine’s silence is a statement: he chooses comfort over courage, personal convenience over principle, and self-preservation over accountability. He is not a protector, not a leader, and certainly not an ally to those who need someone to stand up for them. By never challenging the Dominica Labour Party, by never voicing concern or taking action, Fontaine proves that he is not just indifferent, he is actively disengaged, and in doing so, he enables wrongdoing to persist unchecked.

It is again the Dominica Reform Party that is asking the tough questions, policing the government, and making noise on behalf of our people. While others stay silent, we call out wrongdoing, expose hidden agendas, and hold those in power accountable for their actions. We refuse to let the government operate unchecked, and we make sure the voices of ordinary Dominicans are heard when no one else will speak up.
